CARROTS FOR KIDS
Wondering how to get your kids to eat their food? This carrot fries recipe is such a fun and delicious vegetable addition to your recipe box!
Kids love snacking on carrots, but when it comes to cooked carrots, that’s another story. I got creative and carrot fries with a garlic parmesan seasoning was born. Served up with a spicy siracha dipping sauce for the adults and a side of ketchup for the kiddos, these fries are downright delicious, nutritious, and a new favorite in our house!
HOW TO MAKE CARROT FRIES
These homemade carrot fries are simple and easy to make. It’s as simple as cutting up a few carrots, coating them in a bit of olive oil, garlic powder, and parmesan, and then baking in a hot oven!
PEEL & CUT CARROTS
You'll want to first start by peeling the carrots and cutting off their ends. I then cut my carrots in half crosswise and then cut them into fry-like pieces.
SEASON THE FRIES
Next, coat the carrots in olive oil, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and parmesan. I used freshly grated parmesan, but whatever you have on hand will work.
BAKE CARROTS
Arrange the carrots on a lightly oiled baking sheet in a single layer. The key to crispy baked fries is to not overcrowd the baking sheet. Carrots containing a fair amount of water, if you overcrowd the pan they will steam instead of crisp up. Use two baking sheets if you are doubling the recipe. It's always better to have too much room to be sure you don't end up with soggy, mushy fries.
Lastly, bake in the top half of your oven, gently flipping over halfway through. I like to turn my oven to the convection setting the last 5 minutes of baking to help the fries crisp up. Once the fries are done, sprinkle them with a bit more flaky sea salt and parmesan cheese.
And, don't forget to scrape up any melted parmesan cheese from the sheet pan to top the fries with!
Spicy Sriracha Dipping Sauce
For the dipping sauce, I used non-fat Greek yogurt, sriracha sauce, a dash of salt, and a touch of honey to meld it all together. I'm telling you this simple spicy dipping sauce is so good with these fries! I like this dip spicy, but you can control the heat to your liking if you prefer a more subtle heat.
You've been warned, these Crispy Baked Carrot Fries with Sriracha Dipping Sauce are hard to stop eating. The good news is that they’re actually pretty healthy!
CAN I USE THE AIR FRYER TO MAKE CARROT FRIES?
I find it easier to bake mine in the oven, but feel free to air fry your carrot fries. Follow the recipe instructions below and place them in an even layer in the air basket fryer. Be sure not to pile them on top of each other or they won't crisp up! Air fry them 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 15-20 minutes. For evenly crispy carrot fries, give the air fryer basket a good shake about halfway through cooking.
You'll be rewarded with crispy, tender, flavorful carrot fries no matter which cooking method you choose!

- 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- ½ cup parmesean cheese

Spicy Sriracha Dipping Sauce
- ½ cup non-fat Greek yogurt
- 1 tablespoon Sriracha sauce less if you like a milder heat

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F
