This Sriracha Aioli recipe is packed with healthy, flavorful ingredients that instantly level up your snacking game. Made in minutes with just the right amount of tangy, creamy, spicy heat! This clean eating condiment is mayonnaise-free and the perfect sauce, dip or spread.
WHAT IS AIOLI?
Aioli is very similar to mayonnaise. Both are made of raw eggs emulsified with oil and an acid. Mayonnaise usually sues vinegar as the acid, while aioli uses lemon juice. Aioli also contains garlic.
My point is, they are very similar in how they are made, creamy, and rich. In fact, it is common practice to use store-bought mayo as the base ingredient of your aioli recipe, making them full of calories and fats. But, what if you don’t like mayonnaise? Or, what if you’re looking for a healthier alternative to mayonnaise?
LOW-FAT, HIGH-PROTEIN AIOLI
The sriracha aioli recipe we’re making today uses low-fat plain greek yogurt instead of mayonnaise. Creamy, tangy yogurt is paired with garlicky, spicy sriracha sauce forming a low-fat, high protein, oil-free aioli.
WHAT IS SRIRACHA SAUCE?
Sriracha is a fermented Thai hot sauce made with red chili peppers, sugar, salt, vinegar, and garlic. It has a garlicky, tangy-sweet flavor with a medium heat spice level.
Sriracha is commonly used on egg and seafood dishes but also used as a condiment for soups, burgers, fries, and stir-fries.
HEALTHY INGREDIENTS
Fresh garlic
Low-fat Greek yogurt is my preference, but any plain unsweetened yogurt can be substituted. Note that regular yogurts and plant-based yogurts may have a thinner consistency than Greek yogurts resulting in a thinner aioli.
Lemon juice, fresh squeezed is my preference. But, if you only have bottled lemon juice, that will work just fine.
Sriracha Sauce
Honey
HOW CAN I MAKE HOMEMADE SRIRACHA AIOLI?
This recipe is quick, easy, and comes together in less than 5 minutes.
- Chop the garlic finely.
- Combine all ingredients in a small bowl and stir until well mixed.
- Taste and adjust seasonings if needed. Add more sriracha sauce for more heat or more honey if it’s too spicy for you. I wouldn’t suggest adding more garlic as the garlic flavors will intensify the longer the aioli is in the refrigerator.
- Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
WHAT TO EAT WITH SRIRACHA AIOLI

Notes
Hot, Hot, or Hotter?
If you like a little bit of a spicy kick, but aren't a fan of hot foods, I suggest starting with one tablespoon of Sriracha. Taste and add more if desired. If the aioli is spicer than you like, you can add more greek yogurt and a bit more honey to mellow it out. If you like it hotter, by all means add more sriracha!HOW TO STORE

I am a picky sauce person. Every spicy yogurt or mayo ive made has been meh. This one is amazing. I love that it is made with yogurt and honey as a sweetener. Im not a fan of mayo based anything. Weve paired it with asian lettuce wraps last week and tonight will be with shawarma. Mmmm.
