Start your morning off right with this Vitamin C-packed orange and banana oat milk smoothie! This healthy smoothie recipe combines the classic tropical flavors of orange and bananas in a creamy and delicious oat milk smoothie!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 navel orange peeled
  • 1 cup oat milk
  • 1 banana peeled, fresh or frozen
  • 1 Medjool Date pitted
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract pure

Instructions
 

  • Put all ingredients into the blender in order listed above.
    1 navel orange, 1 banana, 1 Medjool Date, 1 cup ice cubes, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Start blending on low speed. Increase speed to high once the start blending. Blend for 1 minute or until smooth.
  • Enjoy!

Notes

SUBSTITUTIONS

Oat Milk - Feel free to use any plant-based milk (or dairy) of your choice. Almond milk, soy milk, and coconut milk all work well with the flavors of orange and banana.
Dates - I highly recommend using dates for added sweetness and fiber. That being said, if you don’t like dates, you could use 1-2 tablespoons of honey or maple syrup.
 

FOR A CREAMIER SMOOTHIE

If you like your smoothies super creamy and thick like a milkshake, consider adding one of these to your next oat milk smoothie.
  • 1 cup of plain or vanilla yogurt - plant-based, Greek, or regular dairy yogurt
  • 1 avocado
  • ¼ cup gluten-free rolled (old-fashioned) oats
